Indians prefer Philippines for low-cost medical education
HYDERABAD: Many Indians are heading to the Philippines to study medicine. Rather than paying huge amounts for donations in the country, they feel completing their MBBS abroad a better option. Thallam Niranjan, studying in University of Perpetual Help System Dalta, Las Pinas, has kept his options open for higher studies, with the US being top among them. Upendra Singh said an added advantage is that unlike Ukraine or Russia, where students have to go through a language course, in the Philippines entire course is in English. “So if someone wants to go to US for a job or give United States Medical Licensing Examination exam to pursue their medical career, this is the best option,” he said.
